Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Did SF-375 provide grip-mounted adjustment with a ten-foot hose?
Yes. The exact US guide places the adjustment knob on the working grip and specifies the ten-foot hose. A 10.5-foot minimum exceeds that hose statement. Steamfast has discontinued this model.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the large floor brush and cloth pad be fitted for the same pass?
No. The exact guide explicitly forbids the large bristle attachment with either microfiber or scrubbing floor pad. Choose one setup for a permitted material; this model remains a discontinued reference.
Explore this need in the finder →Does a ninety-minute low-flow claim establish more than 48 ounces of water?
No. The guide specifies 48 ounces maximum fill, with approximately 45 minutes high and 90 minutes low. The larger time figure does not enlarge the reservoir or permit filling beyond its limit.
Explore this need in the finder →Steamfast SF-375 is a discontinued canister notable for its ten-foot hose, grip-mounted flow knob and separate large floor-bristle attachment. It remains useful to understand when identifying an existing unit or choosing a replacement. Steamfast's current page explicitly marks it as discontinued and unavailable for purchase, so this is a reference assessment of its documented configuration.
Flow adjustment belongs to the handle
The exact SF-375 guide places the steam-adjustment knob on the working handle. That lets an owner change intensity without reaching back to the canister. The trigger starts steam, while its lock maintains output. These are separate controls: holding the trigger on is not the same as choosing a lower flow rate.
The guide does not list a pressure gauge. The heating indicator reports the reheating cycle, rather than measuring pressure for the user. A low flow setting does not approve a heat-sensitive surface, and the trigger lock does not make opening the boiler cap safe.
Forty-eight ounces, with different high and low claims
The reservoir's maximum fill is forty-eight ounces. The specification table gives approximately forty-five minutes on high and ninety minutes on low, with about ten minutes for heating. The longer low-flow figure does not mean this model has a larger tank than every other forty-eight-ounce canister, or that it will deliver maximum output for ninety minutes.
Use the fill cup and empty leftover water before measuring a new batch. Distilled or demineralized water is strongly recommended to reduce deposits. Water is the normal boiler fill; follow the separate mineral-maintenance procedure when needed instead of adding cleaning chemicals during steaming.
A long hose changes reach, not carrying safety
The ten-foot hose is confirmed in the exact manual. The manufacturer's gallery gives a seventeen-foot power cord, and the guide lists a 10.8-pound unit weight. Consider the route from the outlet to the body and from the body to the working area separately. A long hose should not be used to drag the canister toward a bathtub, stairs or a hot surface.
Keep the body stable and inspect an older unit's hose, cord, cap and connectors before use. Contact Steamfast for service or compatibility advice if anything is damaged or uncertain. The retained product page provides a support route, but does not guarantee that each historical part remains available.
The large brush and cloth are alternate floor setups
The supplied large mop head measures thirteen by eight and a half inches. It accepts a microfiber pad or scrubbing pad. A separate bristle attachment clips to that head for suitable surfaces. The guide explicitly says not to use the bristle attachment with either cloth pad; these are alternate configurations, rather than a combined brush-and-cloth pass.
The rest of the original kit includes a nine-inch squeegee, jet and angled nozzles, scraper, small nylon and brass brushes, round brush and scrub pads. Choose the attachment for the material and follow its assembly instructions. Brass bristles and abrasive scrubbing can scratch delicate finishes even when the nozzle connection fits.
Allow for moisture and refill pauses
The padded head collects loosened dirt and moisture, without vacuum liquid recovery. Sweep or vacuum floors first, keep the mop moving and allow residual moisture to dry. The guide excludes unsealed hardwood and unglazed ceramic, warns about waxed sheen and requires checking the floor maker's directions. Do not use the long runtime claim to justify prolonged steaming in one spot.
The detailed refill section requires switching off, unplugging, cooling for twenty minutes and releasing all remaining steam before opening. Shorter cooling wording elsewhere in the guide should not override that more cautious procedure. Wait longer if the unit remains unsafe to handle. For storage, allow complete cooling, at least thirty minutes, empty the tank and remove the damp pad.
What to compare now
For a current package with grip-mounted flow adjustment, compare McCulloch MC1385. It has its own tank, hose and supplied tools; do not assume it recreates the SF-375 package exactly. MC1375 offers a body-mounted adjustment and pressure gauge instead.
For simpler trigger operation with a supplied glass squeegee, compare SF-275 and confirm availability. Existing SF-375 owners should prioritize correct parts, safe pressure release and permitted surfaces over an attachment-count or runtime headline.
