A useful fit for

Existing-owner reference for a fixed-flow canister with floor pads, glass squeegee and a corner tool with interchangeable pads.

The main tradeoff

Steamfast explicitly discontinued SF-370. This reference is outside current buying matches; exact older-unit condition and replacement-part compatibility need checking.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Did the original kit support floor mopping and separate glass cleaning?

Yes. The exact guide lists floor pads and a supplied squeegee, used as different setups. Steamfast has discontinued SF-370, so these documented capabilities do not make it a current buying option.

Did the supplied controls include a trigger lock without variable flow?

Yes. The exact guide shows a trigger and lock but no separate variable-flow knob. Refilling requires stopping, unplugging, cooling and releasing pressure; continued locked output does not permit topping up.

What does the guide state about unit weight?

The retained US guide lists 8.4 pounds unit weight, before treating added water and carried accessories as extra load. A published-unit-weight ceiling of 8.5 pounds fits that statement; 8 pounds does not. The discontinued model remains reference-only.

Steamfast SF-370 is a discontinued 48-ounce canister with a padded mop, glass squeegee, corner tool and small detail brushes. This assessment helps identify its original cleaning arrangement and the practical limits for an existing machine. Steamfast's current product page explicitly says it is no longer available for purchase; compare current packages when shopping for a replacement.

Its useful distinction is the supplied corner-tool arrangement

The original SF-370 kit combines two extension wands, a mop head and two microfiber pads with a jet nozzle, squeegee and separate corner tool. The corner tool has interchangeable scrub and sponge pads secured by its latch. That gives an owner a different attachment for narrow angled spaces, instead of trying to force the larger floor head into every edge.

The supplied nylon utility brushes and brass brush fit the jet nozzle. The guide warns that abrasive pads and bristles can damage some finishes. Check the actual surface and test a hidden area before scrubbing. A brush that fits the connector is not automatically suitable for a coated fixture, delicate metal or painted surface.

Check an older machine against its exact parts

The manufacturer's retained SF-370 page links the model's guide and replacement-parts route. The guide tells users to use the recommended SF-370 accessories. Similar looking parts on another canister are not enough to establish compatibility, especially when their locking buttons or nozzle connections differ.

Before considering further use, inspect the cord, housing, hose, cap and attachment connections. Stop using a damaged, leaking or malfunctioning machine and contact Steamfast for service guidance. A retained product page or spare-part listing does not establish that an older unit is in safe working condition or that every replacement part is available.

Trigger operation is different from variable steam

The trigger provides steam while held, and the steam-lock switch can maintain output. The exact guide lists no separate adjustment knob or pressure gauge. Its heating light switches off when ready and can come back on during use. If output drops while the boiler reheats, release the trigger and follow the instructions rather than treating the light as a fault by itself.

The nominal tank holds forty-eight ounces. The guide gives approximately eight minutes for heating and forty-five minutes of steaming, both dependent on conditions. Those figures describe the intended appliance, rather than the performance or condition of a particular used example.

A floor mop, without dirty-water extraction

The floor setup uses the wands, mop head and cloth pad. Sweep or vacuum loose dirt first and keep the head moving on permitted surfaces. The pad collects some soil and moisture, but the machine does not vacuum liquid into a recovery tank. Allow the remaining moisture to dry before normal foot traffic.

The guide prohibits unsealed hardwood and unglazed ceramic and warns that steam can affect waxed sheen. Follow the flooring maker's directions even when a general product description mentions sealed wood or laminate. Glass work uses the squeegee in a separate attachment setup; it does not add cloth-pad pickup to the same pass.

Refilling requires stopping

Switch off and unplug before filling or refilling. The detailed SF-370 procedure requires cooling for five to ten minutes and releasing all remaining steam before removing the cap; pressure can remain much longer after use. Do not interpret a short elapsed time as proof that the boiler is safe to open. Follow the cap and pressure precautions carefully and wait longer when necessary.

Use water without cleaning additives. Distilled or demineralized water is strongly recommended, with a separate mineral-maintenance procedure for users who cannot use it. For storage the guide specifies complete cooling, thirty minutes, then emptying the reservoir and removing the damp pad. Clean and dry the pad and permitted accessories separately.

Replacement choices

The guide lists an 8.4-pound unit weight and a 15.4-foot cord; the retained gallery identifies a 6.5-foot hose. A filled boiler and carried attachments add to the handling task. For a current comparison with simple trigger operation and a supplied squeegee, read SF-275 and confirm its actual availability.

Choose MC1375 for documented body-mounted flow adjustment and a pressure gauge, or MC1385 for adjustment on the working grip. Check the exact replacement kit rather than expecting it to reproduce every SF-370 corner tool.
