A useful fit for

A floor-led routine on compatible sealed surfaces, with a separate carpet-glide pass and replaceable floor scrubber.

The main tradeoff

Not a handheld detail system. Reliable’s own exact pages conflict on tank volume, steam-tip temperature and runtime wording; those values remain unknown for matching.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you want a floor-first upright for padded mopping on compatible sealed hard floors?

Yes. The exact 300CU instructions show a microfiber floor pad and its FAQ limits use to horizontal floor surfaces; the unit does not convert to handheld.

Will a supplied carpet glide cover an occasional compatible carpet or area-rug refresh?

Yes, in a separate glide setup after loose debris is removed. It is not suction or liquid recovery.

Does the documented 21-foot cord meet a 21-foot minimum?

Reliable lists a 21-foot cord; a longer minimum or room reach beyond that cord is not established.

The Reliable Steamboy Pro 300CU is an upright, corded steam mop for homes that mainly want a cloth-pad floor pass, with a separate scrubber and carpet glide for other floor jobs. Its main advantage is not a huge tool kit or above-floor conversion: it is a swiveling mop head that can change from a microfiber pad to a replaceable nylon scrubber. If you need handheld detail cleaning, the 350CS is a more versatile fit; if you want a simple mop, the 300CU is the more focused choice.

A floor-first machine, not a portable steamer

Reliable’s U.S. 300CU page shows a 180-degree swiveling triangular head, two machine-washable microfiber pads, a removable water tank, a replaceable anti-scale cartridge and a quick-release scrub brush. The 21-foot cord gives it a little more reach than a very compact mop, although it still means planning around outlets and keeping the cord clear of the working head. A foot release changes between the cloth pad and the scrubber; it does not turn the body into a handheld detail steamer. The manufacturer-linked 300CU instructions describe the unit as a floor steamer/scrubber, say to sweep or vacuum loose debris first, and limit operation to horizontal floor surfaces. It does not pick up dry debris or recover dirty liquid.

Be careful with conflicting published specifications

Some important numbers on Reliable’s own sources do not agree. The current product page lists a 600 ml tank and a 245°F steam tip; the model-specific FAQ lists a 350 ml tank and 215°F. Runtime wording also differs slightly: the product page says “over 25 minutes,” while the FAQ says “up to 25 minutes.” The linked instructions identify the exact 300CU and cover setup and care, but do not settle those product-page discrepancies. I would not use tank capacity, steam-tip temperature or runtime as a deciding requirement until Reliable reconciles them. This conflict is about optional specifications, not the identity of the U.S. 300CU itself.

For day-to-day use, the instructions are more actionable than the promotional numbers: fill with cold tap water, add no detergent or perfume, unplug before adding water or changing the textile pad, and let the machine cool before maintenance. Reliable says the pads can be machine-washed with mild detergent and air-dried; do not use bleach or fabric softener. The anti-scale cartridge is a replaceable maintenance part, not a reason to ignore hard-water care.

How the finder should treat the 300CU

Choose the upright format and a padded-floor task when your essential job is a compatible hard floor. The included carpet glide is a separate horizontal setup for refreshing a carpet or area rug after loose soil has been removed; it is not a suction tool or an upholstery extractor. If you require a detachable handheld unit, small brushes for above-floor detail work, or a squeegee pass, the 300CU should fail that essential filter rather than being credited for attachments that are not in its instructions.

Floor compatibility still belongs to the flooring maker. Reliable’s FAQ names marble, ceramic, stone, linoleum, sealed hardwood and parquet, and says to test a small patch. Steam is not automatically suitable for every finish or construction. Do not use the mop on stairs, unsealed wood or a surface whose care instructions prohibit steam. Use the pad as directed and keep the head moving instead of assuming the manufacturer’s general “chemical-free” language guarantees a result on every floor.

Where it sits beside the 350CS

The distinction is straightforward: the Steamboy Plus 350CS converts between mop and handheld setups and includes a 22-piece kit, two steam levels and a separate 20-foot cord. That adds more jobs but also means changing attachments and working with a smaller, confirmed 350 ml tank. The 300CU keeps the routine floor-led and includes a scrubber for floor grime, but its own tank and temperature claims conflict across the manufacturer’s pages, so I would not call it the longer-running choice. Read the 350CS assessment if above-floor use or adjustable steam matters. A wheeled canister such as the Dupray Neat is a different alternative when hose reach and a broader set of detail passes matter more than mop-style simplicity.

Availability and buying identity

When checked, Reliable’s exact 300CU product page showed the listing as unavailable/backordered. That does not erase the current manufacturer model, but it does mean availability can change and should be checked at the seller. Search by “Reliable Steamboy Pro 300CU” and verify that exact model on the listing; the 200CU filter and replacement pads are separate parts, not a different full machine. This assessment uses Reliable’s exact product page, FAQ and linked instructions; it is not a hands-on performance test.
