A useful fit for

For buyers who want a cordless hard-floor washer with a distinct steam mode plus Tineco-advertised ReverseScrub and Quiet-runtime features, and who will verify the regional controls.

The main tradeoff

Not a carpet or upholstery cleaner. The exact North American manual, US SKU and dedicated store offer were not confirmed; regional manual specifications conflict with US page values. Steam and recovery are not documented as simultaneous.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is Tineco-listed ReverseScrub technology an essential feature?

The exact S9 Artist Steam Pro US page lists ReverseScrub. The exact North American operating manual was not available on Tineco’s US manual route, so confirm controls on the regional unit before relying on procedure or claimed cleaning effect.

Does the manufacturer-stated Quiet-mode runtime claim meet a 90-minute threshold?

The exact US page lists up to 90 minutes in Quiet mode. It is not a steam-runtime figure or an independent result; the same page’s four-item mode list does not name Quiet, so confirm exact US control behavior.

Does this exact Pro fit a non-carpet hard-floor steam-washer requirement, rather than carpet or upholstery?

Tineco’s US support FAQ says non-carpeted floors; no carpet glider or upholstery setup is listed for this powered-roller product. Check the flooring maker’s steam permission.

The Tineco FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro is a distinct hard-floor washer, not simply the non-steam S9 Artist Pro and not the standard S9 Artist Steam under a shorter name. Tineco’s US product and series pages call it “S9 ARTIST STEAM PRO.” It combines a powered floor-washing roller with a separate STEAM setting, and the US page adds two notable claims: ReverseScrub technology and up to 90 minutes in Quiet mode.

Start with the floor restriction

The exact US product support FAQ says this Floor One is for non-carpeted floors such as vinyl, tile and sealed wood; it also warns that the machine is not for dry vacuuming without water because the brush roller could be damaged. Treat those as meaningful limits. A “steam” label does not make it a carpet or upholstery cleaner. A sealed surface is not automatically steam-safe, either: confirm that the manufacturer of your specific floor permits heat and moisture before choosing a steam washer. If you need a carpet glider, textile nozzle, glass tool or hose for detail work, look at a documented boiler-and-tool unit instead.

Tineco’s US page lists Auto, Max, Steam and Suction as modes. The separate specifications show up to 30 minutes in Steam and 75 minutes in Auto, plus up to 90 minutes in Quiet mode. These are manufacturer statements, not guaranteed runtime in a home. The page’s feature list presents Quiet as a runtime mode although its shorter mode list does not name it, so confirm the exact North American control behavior from Tineco before treating Quiet as an essential operating requirement. Likewise, the product page names ReverseScrub technology, but the US manual route did not lead to a downloadable model-specific manual during review. The global manual titled for S9 Artist Steam Pro is an EU edition; it is useful evidence that the family has a ReverseScrub control, but its regional electrical and tank specifications should not be transferred to a US purchase.

What the US page does confirm

For the US configuration, Tineco lists a 0.88 L clean-water tank, 0.75 L dirty-water tank, 285 W rated power, 22 kPa suction, LCD display, a 3.5-hour charge at 2 A, 12.85 cm lay-flat height, triple-sided edge cleaning, DualBlock anti-tangle design, 360-degree self-traction and five-minute FlashDry hot-air drying at 85°C. The company’s US mode list separates Steam from Auto, Max and Suction; it does not document steam and liquid recovery happening at the same time. Think of the Pro as a cordless floor washer with multiple distinct ways to work, not a powered extraction pass that does everything simultaneously.

There is an important specification discrepancy to keep out of a buying decision: the official global Pro manual is labelled as a European edition and gives a different dirty-water capacity and a 220–240 V dock. The US product page instead says 0.75 L and 3.5 hours at 2 A. This review uses the US page for US specifications and does not assume the European dock or manual table describes a North American box. The US page’s “What’s included” list names the dock, filter, brush roller and cleaning tool; it does not list cleaning solution. Check the box list for the exact seller and region rather than assuming a bottle or accessory is included.

Why the Pro is not an automatic upgrade for everyone

The useful distinction from the standard S9 Artist Steam is feature fit, not a promise of a better clean. Both US pages show the same headline 285 W, 22 kPa, four named operating selections, 0.88/0.75 L tanks, 30-minute Steam claim and 3.5-hour charge. The Pro page adds ReverseScrub to its feature list and a 90-minute Quiet runtime claim; the standard page emphasizes its own 75-minute laid-flat Auto claim and lists cleaning solution in its package. These are not independent comparisons of real-world cleaning performance, and differences in package lists should be checked against the actual seller listing.

ReverseScrub may matter to someone who wants a manufacturer-described reverse-scrubbing feature, but the US page does not quantify a stain-removal advantage. The Pro’s advertised Quiet runtime is separate from the 30-minute Steam claim; do not use the larger figure when planning a steam session. The global manual also gives operating steps, but because it is a European edition, a North American buyer should get the exact regional instructions for the controls, charger and maintenance before use. That is especially important for a battery appliance with a steam system and two water reservoirs.

Maintenance and purchase checks

A dirty-water tank, powered roller and filter require attention after washing. Use the exact US instructions for self-cleaning, tank emptying and drying; do not store a damp filter or hair-filled roller simply because the dock offers a self-clean cycle. Measure the dock footprint and the machine’s 12.85 cm lay-flat clearance against furniture, and allow a safe place to charge. If you do not want to empty and rinse the tank after each wet session, a steam-only mop may fit your routine better.

At review, the US product page and the S9 family page showed the S9 Artist Steam Pro as its own named model, but its “Buy at” area did not provide an outbound retailer and no dedicated US store product/SKU was confirmed in the manufacturer’s four-page search for that name. That is not evidence the model is discontinued or unavailable everywhere. For shopping, use the exact full model name and verify the returned seller, region, manual and kit; do not substitute the regular Artist Steam, Artist Pro or S9 Station model. Choose the Pro only if its actual reverse-scrub and quiet-mode behavior is documented for the exact US unit and worth the extra uncertainty for you.
