A useful fit for

A cordless hard-floor washer for households that want a dedicated steam mode plus separately selectable wet-cleaning and liquid-pickup modes, and accept post-use tank and roller care.

The main tradeoff

Not a carpet, upholstery or detail steamer. Steam and suction are separate modes, not a documented simultaneous extraction pass. Battery runtime and product claims are manufacturer estimates; the exact store listing was backordered at review.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can one cordless unit provide hard-floor steam and liquid pickup without pretending they happen at once?

Yes. The exact manual lists STEAM and SUCTION as separate selectable modes. It also documents AUTO/MAX wet floor washing. Do not treat that as simultaneous steam extraction.

Does a published 30-minute steam-mode claim meet a 30-minute minimum?

Tineco advertises up to 30 minutes in STEAM mode. This is a manufacturer claim, not an independently measured runtime or guarantee.

Will the same powered roller configuration clean carpet or upholstery?

No. Its manual restricts operation to non-carpeted indoor hard-floor surfaces; a carpet or upholstery requirement should exclude it.

The Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam is a cordless wet-and-dry floor washer with a dedicated STEAM setting, not a conventional boiler-and-pad steam mop. It is for indoor, non-carpeted hard floors and a buyer who wants powered wet cleaning, a dirty-water tank and a separate steam mode in one machine. Those capabilities use different selectable modes; the manual does not promise steam and dirty-water pickup in the same pass.

Choose it for the format, not a list of attachments

The exact US model page calls this a FLOOR WASHER and documents a 180-degree lay-flat design; its Tineco support page provides the model-specific support path. Its manual shows one powered roller assembly, a removable clean-water tank, a dirty-water tank and four operating choices. The box list names a charging dock, cleaning tool, dry filter and extra heatproof roller. That makes it a very different purchase from the corded canisters here: there is no hose, detail brush kit, glass squeegee or textile tool to swap onto a boiler. If that reach and attachment system is your job, compare the Steamfast SF-275 or a McCulloch MC-1275 instead.

The difference matters for the word “steam.” The S7 is a cordless powered hard-floor washer that adds steam, not an all-surface steamer. The exact linked owner manual restricts use to indoor non-carpeted floor surfaces such as vinyl, tile and sealed wood. It does not document carpet, rugs, upholstery, curtains, glass or small-detail attachments. A sealed finish alone does not establish that your particular floor can take steam; check its manufacturer’s directions first.

Four modes, and why their limits matter

AUTO uses the iLoop dirt sensor to adjust clean-water use and suction. MAX increases suction and sprays water or solution for embedded stains. STEAM takes about 20–50 seconds to prepare, then sends steam through six outlets. SUCTION is the manual’s explicit wet-surface water-absorption mode. The controls cycle among AUTO, MAX, STEAM and SUCTION; think of these as selectable ways to use one machine, not simultaneous functions.

That distinction is especially useful when you need both steam and liquid pickup. The machine has a dirty-water tank and a suction setting, but the manual does not say that the STEAM setting simultaneously extracts liquid. Do not buy it on an assumption of a single steam-and-extraction pass, or treat it as a carpet extractor. In STEAM mode, the manual says not to add solution. It specifies tap water below 140°F/60°C for the clean-water tank. Follow the model instructions for any cleaning solution and non-steam setting rather than improvising a mixture.

Capacity and runtime are mode-specific

Tineco lists approximately 0.88 L for the clean-water tank and 0.7 L for the dirty-water tank, with the dirty-water limit dropping to 0.6 L when laid flat. These are separate clean and waste reservoirs, not an 0.88-liter pressurized boiler. The official US product page advertises up to 30 minutes in STEAM and up to 80 minutes in any mode when laid flat. The manual describes approximately 80 minutes and labels its runtime as a laboratory estimate. Treat these as manufacturer claims, not a promise for your floor, steam setting, battery age or room.

The unit uses a 25.2-volt, 6,250-mAh lithium-ion battery and the manual calls for a four-hour first charge. Tineco lists 7.8 kg (about 17.2 lb) as item weight; this is not a verified filled carry-weight figure. If stairs, lifting, or a tight storage alcove are decisive, try the loaded unit and measure the actual body and dock rather than using package dimensions as appliance clearance. Lay-flat reach may help under furniture, but it does not remove the need to measure the height and approach angle.

The maintenance is part of the choice

After wet cleaning, empty and rinse the dirty-water tank; debris, hair and moisture do not disappear into the dock. The roller and filter also need attention. Tineco supplies a self-cleaning cycle, but the manual conditions it on a plugged-in dock, an emptied dirty-water tank, more than 40 percent clean-water fill and a battery above 18 percent. The manual instructs you to rinse the filter and let it dry completely before reinstalling it, and to dry the roller and its chamber before storage. Plan a few minutes of cleanup after each job, not just a return to the dock.

The 180-degree feature is useful only if your furniture layout permits the head and body to lie down. Avoid flooded areas and water deeper than the manual allows, keep the roller moving at rug edges, and do not use it on carpet. A powered washer also has a different rhythm from a lightweight steam mop: there is a battery to charge, clean and dirty tanks to manage, and brush parts that must dry.

Who should buy it?

Choose the S7 Stretch Steam if you want a cordless hard-floor washer with both a steam setting and separately selectable wet-pickup modes, and your flooring maker permits steam. Skip it for carpet, upholstery, high windows, detail tools, a long hose, or a conventional lightweight pad-only mop. If your essential requirement is that steam and extraction happen at once, the documentation does not confirm it. If the separate modes and maintenance are acceptable, the format consolidates wet-floor care without pretending that one pass can do every kind of cleaning.
