A useful fit for

A compact canister for people who want rapid initial steam and the documented ability to refill its separate tank while operating, with floor and above-floor tools in separate passes.

The main tradeoff

The spec table lists 54 oz / 1600 ml, but the manual says a maximum fill of 60 oz / 1800 ml. The relationship is unexplained; follow the manual and do not filter the model by tank volume.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is a fast initial warm-up and refill during use essential?

The exact Neat Plus manual documents about 90–120 seconds to initial steam and a separate refill tank that can be refilled during operation.

Does one canister package cover a separate floor and detail setup?

The exact Plus listing documents a 17-piece kit with floor and detail tools; each task needs its corresponding attachment and a suitable surface.

Does an 80-ounce minimum tank filter match verified measurements here?

No. The product table says 54 ounces while the manual maximum is 60 ounces; neither is represented as a resolved fill capacity in the matcher.

The Dupray Neat Plus is the compact canister in this family for buyers who want quick startup and the ability to replenish water without cooling a closed boiler. Its difference from the regular Neat is operational rather than cosmetic: the Plus uses a separate tank and heat-exchanger arrangement, while the standard Neat requires a cooled boiler refill.

What the faster system changes in daily use

The manufacturer’s product information describes roughly one-to-two-minute heating, and the Plus manual says about 90 to 120 seconds to reach its initial optimal steam output. It also says water may be added during operation. That is a meaningful convenience for a long room-by-room session, although it should not be translated into a promise of unlimited work: the operator still has to pause for tool swaps, cloth changes, movement and safe handling. The steam itself can take additional time to emerge after startup, according to the manual.

Like the Neat, the Plus arrives with a 17-piece set that includes floor, detail, window and fabric-related tools. That variety can cover separate jobs in a home without another motorized floor cleaner, but it also means this is not a single-pass floor appliance. For permitted hard floors, use the floor head with a suitable cloth or pad and keep it moving; for grout or kitchen edges, attach the appropriate brush or lance; for compatible fabric refreshing, use the documented cloth/bonnet arrangement. These choices do not make the device an extractor: it does not vacuum up liquid or recover dirty solution into a tank.

Published size figures put the Plus at about 11 pounds, with a 16-foot electrical cord and a six-foot-six-inch hose. The body rolls on four wheels, so that weight does not describe how it feels to pull across a room or lift over stairs. The figures are useful for storage and outlet placement, but a person who needs to carry a cleaner between floors should consider a smaller handheld or upright rather than assume that “portable” means light to carry.

Read the capacity and water directions together

There is a source difference worth keeping visible: Dupray’s product specification gives a 54-ounce/1,600-milliliter water volume, while the manual says not to fill beyond 60 ounces/1,800 milliliters. Those values are not the same. Because the sources do not explain the measurement difference, do not use either as a guaranteed usable fill amount or estimate floor area from it. Follow the actual tank markings and the instructions packed with the specific unit. The manual says clean water only and recommends demineralized water to limit mineral buildup. Do not put detergent, vinegar or scent additives in the water tank.

Neat Plus makes a stronger case than the standard Neat when a shorter first wait or refill without boiler cooling is essential. Conversely, if a fixed boiler session and a lower-complexity operation suit your routine, the regular Neat remains a viable comparison. Larger models such as Tosca and Hill Injection add heavier chassis, longer hoses and professional-oriented controls, but they ask for more storage and movement effort. The Plus’s useful middle ground is that it stays compact while removing the standard Neat’s cool-down refill interruption.

Care and surface limits still decide the job

Faster refilling is not a license to steam any surface. Dupray’s manual warns that heat and moisture can discolor or damage finishes, and specifically warns against unsealed wood, worn or unfinished wood or tile, wax-treated floors, leather and delicate fabrics. Confirm the flooring or upholstery manufacturer’s care rules first; test a hidden place and keep the tool in motion. A shiny sealed appearance is not enough to establish compatibility. Steam can leave a surface wet, and a cloth must be changed when it stops collecting soil rather than used as a claim of extraction.

The kit’s brushes and small tools are working tools, not a promise that every texture is safe for hard-brush contact. Start with the softest attachment that suits a material, test discreetly, and avoid forcing steam into joints or finishes. The broad accessory count can be a benefit for someone who will rotate between bathroom, kitchen, window and floor setups. It is unnecessary clutter if the only task is a quick, weekly mop.

Which Neat Plus package?

The Plus plus Awesome Bag bundle adds fitted storage, not a different cleaner. The Steam Cleaning Pack Pro bundle adds a felt accessory bag, four microfiber cloths, three bonnets, and extra nylon, brass, stainless-steel and horsehair brushes; compare those exact contents with the standard 17-piece kit before choosing a package. The Plus-and-Voilà bundle includes a separate compact clothes steamer with its own removable 200-milliliter tank and heated soleplate. Dupray lists that separate unit at 1,200 watts and about 30 seconds to ready; it is not a floor or upholstery attachment. The bundle only makes sense if garment steaming is also a real need. These packages share the Plus’s operating limits; a retailer’s generic title may omit what is in the carton, so match the full bundle name and check the seller’s included-items list.

Manufacturer basis: Dupray’s exact U.S. Neat Plus page and Plus instruction manual, its support portal, and the exact U.S. Awesome Bag, Voilà and Steam Cleaning Pack Pro bundle pages. Capacity is intentionally not used as a hard matcher fact because the product specification (54 ounces) and manual maximum (60 ounces) differ. The plus is assessed as a current U.S.-listed product configuration, not as a guarantee of stock, shipping, or a particular retailer’s package.
